~Volunteer Orientation July 22nd~
Join DERT for a volunteer orientation on July 22, 2017 from 10:00-1:00 pm at the Harbor House on Percival Landing, 325 Columbia St NW in Olympia. We are organizing teams of people to help educate the public through direct outreach during the months of August and September. You can help lead the effort to reach out to the community and begin a conversation about the negative impacts dam at the mouth of the Deschutes River on 5th Avenue in Olympia has on water quality in South Puget Sound. And most importantly, you will learn the importance and benefits of Deschutes estuary restoration. Come join us on the July 22nd. There is a lot to do, especially as the salmon come home to the Deschutes.
